2026 Day on the Hill

When: 8:00AM - 4:00PM
Where:

St. Paul River Centre
175 Kellogg Blvd
St Paul, MN

On Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, AFSCME Council 5 and AFSCME Council 65 members from all over the state will combine forces in St. Paul for our Day on The Hill. Our theme this year, 'Freedom From Fear', means we are fighting for a future where our work provides stability and dignity, not anxiety. For too many workers, fear has become a daily part of the job... fear of missing a paycheck, losing health care, being hurt on the job, or never getting ahead. We are coming together as a union family to fight for safety, fairness, and the freedom to build a better life for all workers, our loved ones, and our communities. We need all hands on deck to fight for our legislative priorities, hold lawmakers accountable, and make our voices heard! AFSCME Council 5 members can register on Member Link at members.afscmemn.org, through their local’s registration form, or using this link: https://bit.ly/doth2026 (same as the QR code above). Here’s what you can expect: We will convene at the St. Paul River Centre where we will get a legislative update, refresh our lobbying skills, discuss our priorities, and hear from union leaders and elected officials. We’ll then head to the beautiful State Capitol for a rally in the Rotunda and group meetings with our State Representatives and Senators. In between, you can join a scheduled tour of the Capitol building, drop in on committee hearings, and socialize and network with your AFSCME siblings. The format for DOTH 2026 will be similar in nature to the 2025 event – brunch will be provided mid-morning, before heading to the Capitol. Lunch will not be provided, but snacks will be available throughout the day. The registration fee is $30 per person to cover venue rental, food, AFSCME swag, and buses.
