Local 404 business a) First notice for Council 5 Annual Convention 10/4 – 10/06 Bloomington b) Authorization for Negotiations Assembly expenditure – Motion by Lynn Whipple to cover usual expenses and second by Molly Kennedy then carried c) Authorization for Presidents Meeting expenditure – Motion by Connie Anderson to cover usual expenses for Chuck and John to attend. Second by Jeremy Tubbs then carried d) Selection of Contract Voting Site – voting can’t be on the St. Peter campus due to the campus security guard stations and not all members have access to campus. The site is yet to be determined, but it will be posted when it is. e) 4th of July planning for parade – looking for any volunteers to help with the float. Contact Molly Kennedy if interested.

MSH NOC – I have a grievance filed on an investigation in regards to a so called tardy.
CRP note – Tim H. is handling this one however I thought I would add my knowledge of the situation. One of the CRP staff is being asked to take classes or be reprimanded. This staff feels he is being targeted by a particular RN. He has yet to be reprimanded but he has been spoken to by management several times on this subject. j) Executive Board – Collins – nothing to report

Council 5 Field Representative and President emeritus Scott Grefe “Big Thank You to the local for supporting Wisconsin.” “Minnesota Legislators have been emboldened by Scott Walker’s victory in Wisconsin, and will still try to push “Right to Work” for less. The November election is very important and it’s not a Democrat vs. Republican vote. It’s voting for who supports the public sector.” “Look at the tentative contract agreement at www.union404.com. Council 5 is recommending a “YES” vote on this agreement. Voting is going to be held July 23-27th, with exact times to be posted.”
