  1. Construction Update - CPS:

GT: The walls are framed in Sunrise, and they have started sheetrock and wiring. At Tomlinson, they are beginning to pour the floors.

  2. Sick Leave Line for SCs:

EC: It is functional, and we will work on a roll-out plan, possibly in the next couple of weeks. The OD cell phone number will continue to be an option.

  3. Uniform Allotment Increase:

AFSCME: Could the clothing allotment be increased? Galls prices have gone up.

TL: We will not be increasing the allotment.

  1. Overtime to Other Classes at Point of Inverse:

AFSCME: Members have asked about allowing other classifications to work overtime at the point of inverse, as many staff are experiencing burnout.

TL: It is not possible at this time.

HP: There is no current contract language for this.

  2. Worker’s Comp / Injured on Duty Information Folders:

TS: There are 12 folders in the OD office.

  3. Partial Shift Inverses:

AFSCME: The standard practice has been that staff who come in early to relieve a partial shift inverse are not then inversed to complete a full 16-hour shift. Can we continue honoring this agreement? This also impacts the release language.

EC: Marie followed up with the ODs, and it does not appear this has happened since the last meeting.

  4. Emergency Status Due to Elopements:

AFSCME: When did the Emergency Status end? This is for grievance purposes.

    No date given.

  5. Camera Issues/Matrix Upgrade:

AFSCME: After the camera upgrade, the cameras are responding very slow/choppy/frozen in the control centers.

EC: We are still waiting on the quote from LVC for the Matrix upgrade.

MANAGEMENT AGENDA ITEMS

  1. Significant Event:

TS/KG: Expressed appreciation for staff’s exemplary response during the recent incident. Staff acted quickly, provided quality care to the client, and demonstrated strong teamwork. EAP was on site afterward to support staff, recognizing the difficulty of the event.

ADD ON

AFSCME AGENDA ITEMS

  1. Continued Increase in P1S Client Care:

AFSCME: There have been reports from members that care plans are not being followed by nursing, and that staff have been asked to bring concerns to the OS and Nursing Supervisor instead of writing reports.

KG/MH: Incident reports need to be written so concerns can be followed up on.

TS: There may have been some confusion. The OS and Nursing Supervisor should also be updated on declining clients, as conditions can progress quickly.

  2. Permanent Mutuals:

AFSCME: Multiple staff have reached out with questions about permanent mutuals.

TL: We are not entertaining permanent mutuals for 2nd and 3rd Watch, as it circumvents the bidding process. There is contract language in place for staff who are bumped to 1st Watch.

ADD ON

  1. AFSCME Convention in September:

AFSCME: Can a couple of extra vacation slots be added for Sept. 25-27 to allow staff to attend the AFSCME convention?

TL: Yes, I will reach out to Katie.
