  1. Construction Update - CPS:

GT: The Sunrise dumpster will be removed next week, and wall framing will begin. Window and wall replacement at Tomlinson is set to start next month.

  2. Sick Leave Line for SCs:

MH: MNIT has been slow to respond, we are doing more testing on our end.

EC: We're hoping to have visual voicemails sent to the OD email inbox, like the system used in Forensics

  3. Uniform Allotment Increase:

AFSCME: Could the clothing allotment be increased? Galls prices have gone up.

TS: We can review this.

  1. Overtime to Other Classes at Point of Inverse:

AFSCME: Members have asked about allowing other classifications to work overtime at the point of inverse, as many staff are experiencing burnout.

TS/TL: We can check with HR.

  2. Worker’s Comp / Injured on Duty Information Folders:

AFSCME: Where is the IOD information located for staff after an incident?

MH: I followed up with Leave Management, we will be getting folders for staff. They will be in the OD office.

  3. Radio Issues:

AFSCME: Staff are strongly encouraged to write reports about radio concerns to ensure follow-up.

TL: Jesse Miller corrected the mislabeled radios in the control center and has been testing them, but no issues have been found.

GT: We have 90 shoulder microphones ordered.

  4. Camera Issues/Matrix Upgrade:

AFSCME: After the camera upgrade, the cameras are responding very slow/choppy/frozen in the control centers.

EC: We are waiting on the quote from LVC to upgrade the Matrix.

MANAGEMENT AGENDA ITEMS

  1. MSOP Treatment-Plus Taskforce:

TS: We're forming this task force to explore how we can expand or adapt services and programming to better meet client needs. With ongoing clinician vacancies, we're looking for creative ways to make treatment more '24/7.' There's a lot of untapped talent across our ranks, and this is a chance to put it to use.

  2. Classroom Training Expectations:

TS: Reminder that staff are expected to participate during hands-on classroom training. COVID precautions are no longer in use. This is a statutory requirement of CERP.

CPS policy updates and at need revisions:

MS: CPS is looking at all our Policies/Practices, Leads have been encouraged to provide feedback to their supervisors for improvements.

Johnson Hall Demo set for July -> September:

EC: The Demo plan has been finalized for Johnson Hall, it will start in July, and they will be using the back road that goes to 169.

ADD ON

AFSCME AGENDA ITEMS

  1. Partial Shift Inverses:

AFSCME: The standard practice has been that staff who come in early to relieve a partial shift inverse are not then inversed to complete a full 16-hour shift. Can we continue honoring this agreement? This also impacts the release language.

TL: Given the recent volume of inverses, ODs are working to avoid violating the 24/48 rule. We'll also remind them to avoid assigning partial shift inverses.

  2. Emergency Status Due to Elopements:

AFSCME: Are we still under the “Emergency Status” from the elopements? Or when did it end? Grievances are being denied citing Emergency Language.

TL: Grievance responses after the first week following the escapes should have a different response.

TS: I will find out from HR when the Emergency Status ended.

ADD ON

  1. Inverse Staff as Soon as Known:

AFSCME: Can you remind the ODs to contact staff as soon as they know an inverse is needed? Early notice gives staff time to make necessary family or personal arrangements and helps reduce added stress.

EC: Yes, this is the practice that should be followed. I will remind them.

  2. Full-Shift Assignments for 6–4 / 8–4 / 8–6 Utility Staff – Across Watches:

AFSCME: Utility staff working 6–4, 8–4, or 8–6 need to be informed of their full-shift assignments. Currently, they’re only being told their assignments through 2 PM, which is creating a variety of issues. (Several scenarios were discussed.) Staff understand that assignments may change but need their assignments for the full shift.

EC: Understood. We’ll make sure ODs begin communicating full-shift assignments moving forward.
