3. Correspondence:
4. Old Business: 1. The pay inequities are for a specific classification. How many vacancies a specific classification has and how fast they can fill the vacancies in that classification determines whether a pay inequity is submitted. Just because a job class didn’t get a pay inequity doesn’t mean that they won’t get a raise. The raises are for everyone across the board. The vacancy rate for SC/SCL is 20%-25% and the Governor specifically mentioned this job classification as one of the most difficult to fill.
5. New Business:
1. Negotiations update-not much of an update refer to member link for more details. The master team is discussing financials so those can’t be discussed outside the group. Union leadership said that we probably won’t hear much about negotiations until push week which begins on June 19. Haven’t heard anything back on the pay inequities that were presented in April. Pay inequities is a separate process that won’t be looped into negotiations.
2. Supplemental negotiations- Supplemental negotiations start next week May 22-24. An update will be communicated when they are complete.
3. Splitting overtime-Union leadership hasn’t heard anything back from management on splitting overtime. Member wants to be sure it is discussed.
4. Motion was made for food for supplemental negotiations- seconded and passes
5. Fundraiser going on for longstanding member, Mike Peterson. A benefit for him is going to take place in the beginning of July. Motion to donate $404 by Kibler Seconded by Moon. Motion passes
6. Overtime for prairie view-Management said that forensic staff is capable but not eligible since there’s lots of overtime in forensics. Member would like to withdrawal our agreement to have non-AFSCME people do our jobs. Union leadership brought up asking the LPN’s to doing the voluntary HSSs overtime during Meet and Confer and management is going to attempt to fix this.
7. Member is concerned about the power that AODs are getting. Member would like to email them to end the overtime agreement.
6. Items from the membership:
1. Training for NOC shift was brought up at Meet and Confer in forensics. Management is going to start offering some trainings during the NOC shift hours.
