B) Vice President Knobbe – John spoke about MSH’s Labor Management Meeting, and minutes will be posted shortly.
C) Vice President/Steward Coordinator Kennedy
Our meet and confer for MSOP was held last Thursday the 14th. Some of the items discussed were management not needing a security counselor position for the LSI post, the addition of a vacation spot for each watch, discussion on the light duty policy when someone is injured outside of work, internet being offered on certain computer for break times, looking into the 3 rounds of bidding and central HR giving new employees jobs before bids have become dead and staff vending in the break room in the basement of Pexton.
I will be attending a supplemental agreement meeting on March 28th at the council office, We have had three investigations this month in MSOP and 1 termination.
Matt, John and I have been filling in at the CBHH/CARE sites this month and some of the things that have been discussed are part time employee’s schedules and days off. Also they are having the schedules being posted with shift not covered. There are also a termination in extended campus but the decision was overturned in the Laudermill process:)

H) Chief Steward Stenger – not present
I) Chief Steward Pech – Had a meeting 3 weeks ago with CRP management. Talked about the excess of inversing, and the need for more staff. Filed a step 3 grievance today
K) Executive Board – Castle – attended Day on the Hill and enjoyed it. It was much better than last year, and had the opportunity to speak with more people. Also sat a couple of investigations.
L) Executive Board – Sullivan – not present
VII. Items from the Membership Nate Herme spoke about the June 28-29th Cookout in Mankato that he is organizing. This event is being organized for the SNAPS program, which helps build parks in the community. This event will have a barbeque competition for professional teams and amateurs. A 5k run is being organized, as well as a corn hole toss tournament. The program is looking for donations to help purchase as many wheelchair swings for local parks as possible. These swings are designed to allow an individual to secure their wheelchair to a specially designed swing. Nate is going to get back to the local next month on the cost of the swings. IX. Social Committee/Good and Welfare – social committee is going to work on updating this list, so we can give better updates on members in the future.
X. Council 5 Field Representative and President emeritus Scott Grefe – Council 5 has reassigned to lobby at the capitol through May. Scott talked about the latest budget proposal and of course cuts are centered around DHS again. He will return in June as our Field Rep. JoAnn Holton will represent local 404 until then.
